Best reason ever...

Hello All, yes I am still here...lurking, reading YOUR blogs and
occasionally making a comment or three.

Saw something today that made me want to blog again.
I'll get to that at the end of this post.  I promise.

Not that I haven't wanted to...
Just haven't felt I had anything 'blog worthy' to say lately.

So here goes, and if blogger cooperates I will publish  this tid-bit.

I can think of many reasons to live in a 'house on wheels'

Just a simpler way of life.

Forces you to get rid of 'stuff'

Much lower cost of living , IMHO

The entire USA, even Canada or Mexico can be
your back/front yard.

Therefore; the view can change as often as you can turn the ignition and put it in gear.

Change neighbors as often as ya change yer clothes (if you like).

Best of all, I think you find the greatest neighbors in campgrounds and other
'camping' venues.

Lots and lots of other really good reasons to live on wheels...
but don't think I am up to
writing/posting them all.
The reasons, after all, are endless to say the least.
Make your own list and YOU decide what it is YOU want to do.

Now,to be fair and honest...
There are certainly a few downsides to a 'house on wheels'

It makes it a bit more difficult to have regular visits to your FAVORITE physician.
Ya might have to plan trips back to 'a home base' on a quarterly or semi-annual time frame.

Ya sure can't keep all Aunt Eunice's, G'ma's or G'pa's things you inherited.
(So take a picture, for memories sake)
Give it to a family member or Goodwill etc.
Sell it if it truly is worth $$$

Forget having dozens of picture albums.  Just put'em on a thumb drive... and view them anytime you like.

Usually lots less space for storing FRESH foods or even FROZEN for that matter.
So more frequent shopping trips may be in order.
No more bulk buying from the local big bin type stores.

When a family member (or really good friend)  gets sick or worse yet pass away, you can't just go down the road, or across town to visit.  However; this would allso be true if you you lived in a SB house in a different state from family.  And this is the case with lots of people.

OK, I'm getting tired...so on to the actually purpose of today's post

I saw an article this morning that caused alarm ...but not for me...for others...Since my home / house / hotel room is on wheels and can go wherever I choose to take it (generally speaking of  course).  This would not actually concern me personally.  However; others might and probably should be concerned.

Ya know it is one thing to go into  a hotel room and find they have ...eeek!  BED BUGS... or Roaches, ants  etc.  You get my drift, I'm sure.

But what if?  You checked into somewhere...and got something not only infectious but

DEADLY

Strictly FYI stuff here.
I love and care about all my blog followers...
This is one way I can spread the word... BE CAREFUL

Take care and GOD BLESS YOU, ONE AND ALL.

Marsha OUT!

Now this sucks :(

Would like to 'monotize' this blog ... every lil penny would help, ya know..

Monday and an update to "Stormy Paths"

It , errra. the a/c is doing better.  For clarification let me say it has cooled wonderfully... it is the water leaking onto the bed that has been the problem.

Well, the other night after I had posted about the situation, our friend (formerly workkamper) from within the campground came over to take a look.  Note he doesn't live/work here any longer, but that's another story.

Anyway, a trip onto the roof, into the bedroom, back to the roof, back to the bedroom ... well ya get the picture, right.
He ran a compressor hose in through the window, blew out the coils, vaccumed etc. etc. During all of this, he removed the a/c shroud...cleaned out the drain lines, checked this and that... heck don't ask me... I'm not going up there...I can't ... I'm too old for that climb.

It seemed to work just fine, we felt like the last remaining water that had worked into the a/c interior was just gonna take a few more minutes to blow itself out.... well not exactly.  I'm now pretty sure we are gonna have to replace the 14 x 14 gasket that seals the a/c and roof....now if that doesn't do it .... I'm at a total loss.

So on the search for that gasket, order it... get it here and get our wonderful 'jack-of-all-trades' ... to put it in.   X'ing fingers, praying and praying some more that it will  solve the problem once and for all.

In the  meantime....it isn't pretty, but this is how I diverted the water AWAY from the BED... and into the TUB around the corner ... LOL

Laugh if you will, I don't care... it is working and my bed is DRY!!!

Stormy path(s) ?

"Don't confuse your path with your destination.  Just because it's stormy now doesn't mean that you aren't headed for sunshine."  Unknown

I am so thrilled for each of you living your RV dreams.
Whether you bought NEW or got a great Used deal...Hoooorah! for you!
Thrilled when a Sun shinny Path is being experienced by anyone.

Our Path is currently, a bit Stormy
Back last May, we were able to purchase a used '85 Southwind,
Found it only a few miles from where we were, so that part was great.

Took an afternoon, went and looked it over.
Even took a 'mechanical friend' with us to give us an unbiased opinion.
The price was right (for the make/model) so we bought it.

Now thing is we ARE living in it from the day we brought it to the campground.

Fridge works, however; would like it to work on elec. and it won't ..capable, but for unknown reason it refuses to switch to elec. when the propane is turned off..or runs out.

Two a/c units... great, but can only run one at the time (30 amp thing) ..unless we use the gen...  but of course gen use is not allowed in campground.
This is our 'storm' ...will get to that lil later.
Stove, micro, water heater (gas only) all work just fine.
Not that we need the stove... we prefer to use the NuWave oven.  and now have the
NuWave cook top... love it , works awesome and without heating up the RV.

Bed sleeps ok, and it is 'walk around' which I love much better than being
crunched up against a wall. Especially when it comes to changing the sheets.

We would have liked to remove the booth and put in chairs instead, but underneath the seats ... is location of the gas heat units (2) ... one under each seat.  So that sort of kicked that idea in the head.

Real  good is roof in great shape, and was only one window which leaked when it came really hard rain.... got that re-sealed , so good to go there.

The awning is also in great shape, obviously not original to the RV.  Plus we did get it secured on each end with straps and anchors...and sufficient enough tilt so that rain doesn't pool.

Now I post all of this to get to discussing the BAD....
and
it
is
real
bad
in
my
opinion.

WHY oh WHY do / did they put a roof mount A/C ... OVER THE BED???

We did not realize that the a/c unit over the bed would cause such a situation? problem?  Call it what ya want.  It is quite a problem, currently for us anyway.

#1 It needs cleaning and filter changing.
#2 Neither of us feel comfortable climbing onto the roof...
I am just not steady enough on my feet.
And well...Joe definitely has problem when it comes to height, ladders etc.
We both may well be too heavy for the roof, not sure , but don't want to find out the hard way either.

This has resulted in the condensation LEAKING thru the unit...and of course right ONTO the BED.

I have used 'doggie pads' to catch it, towels, and even large bowl.  But ya can't SLEEP on the BED with all this going on.
So, opened up the sofa, and we both slept there last night, and was comfortable enough... definitely DRY.

So now.. to figure out WHO to call, HOW to pay for it,
and get the dang thing serviced.

Any local followers reading this...suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Now just have to share this photo.  In all of Ebony's 5 yr life,
She has always loved sleeping this way, but I have never
 (til last night)
been able to catch here in a photo.

I promise I did NOT pose her.
She loves sleeping on her back..
with her front paws out and over the covers.

Here she is on the sofa pillow and worked her way underneath the quilt... oh I should photograph and tell that story (another post for sure).

Can ya tell.... I LOVE MY LIL EBONY!!

My Apologies

I feel  I must or should apologize...for having abandoned my blog for a full WEEK!
This past week has been sort of a blah time for us,
with the heat ... but mostly due to my back being 'less than up to par'.
We both had medical  appointments and that usually
takes quite a bit of time out of the day.
To say the least, right.

I haven't been out and about the campground much at all
this past week, mostly due to my back acting up from time to time during this week.
  It isn't much better today,
but I am refusing to let it do me in.

I have been reading your blogs,
and commenting when I felt I had something decent to say,
without spreading my mood about to your blog.
That said, I am trying to improve my mood.
It is all about attitude, and mine needs work right now.
I pray to my Lord, Jesus...
please  give me strength.. to endure and go beyond
any obstacle placed between us and our dreams.

I'll leave this morning with a pic of my sweet sweet Ebony...
the rare shot that we get..
her color often inhibits a good shot decent even...
this one may not show up on the blog any better than others,
 but I'm gonna post anyway.

Sweeet, Sweeet Ebony
Later, all... will try to get some good pics or content for later in the day... or  for tomorrow for sure.

Breaker Breaker (electric that is)

Not a breaker on the RV, but within the campground.  Near full capacity tonight, and with so many units using 50amp and running a/cs full blast... guess that is expected.
At least it seems so here.  Not unusual actually, it happens all  too often for one reason or another.

Just a few days ago the owner said he replaced multiple breakers in one of the BIG junction boxes. I watched out my window, as they worked...cause obviously they had to turn the power off while working on it.

Earlier this evening, around 4 p.m. power went out, it was breaker(s) in another junction box... one just across from our site.

Explanation was that heat built up inside the junction box and caused all breakers or main to trip so as not to burn everything out completely.  I understand electrical to some extent , so it sort of makes sense.  And we are still experiencing extreme heat and high heat indexes.. so there ya go.

What ever the case/problem, will sure be glad to see lower temps real soon.

Blog Blog and more...

Blogs, yes I have been busy reading one after another this morning.  Not just those most recently written but have been browsing into quite a few archived posts.

I am quite interested in the type of work full-timers keep  themselves busy doing, just for the sake of busy? or for the sake of keeping a few $$$ in the bank account.

For Marsha and Joe it will be necessary to pad the bank account as we travel, once we get going, that is.   Thus, the reason for our constant researching the possibilities.  Work'kamping' as it is called presents itself with a seemingly endless list of possibilities.  However; I am not convinced as to the ease of getting into IT.

For example, I recently saw an advertisement for help in a close by campground, with the phone number and contact information (name)...however; when attempting to call, all I was able to get was a full voicemail.   This was definitely no help.  The ad is still posted, leading one to assume that it has yet to be filled with a capable person or couple.

Many others are too far away for us to attempt to contact currently.  Since we really are not sure how much longer we will have to 'park' our wheels in our current location, it is just not feasible to search further than 'our current backyard'.   The owners here at our current location seem to have all the help they need or at least are willing to put to work.

There is of course a few things we simply must take care of before we can 'leave'...
  • The propane tank needs replacing.  $250 ?
  • Passenger side mirror - requires remounting
  • Three way fridge - only wants to work on propane..so how do I make it switch over to electric (preference when parked)
  • New locks for the outside storage bays (some missing - some no keys)
  • A/C needs serviced... working great, but sure needs cleaning
  • AND...we are definitely gonna need a way to TOW the Caravan
So for now, I'm gonna go back to enjoying my .....coffee... refining the 'to-do lists' and of course... more BLOG reading.

Great evening

Even though today's forecast was for 96* with 3-digit heat indexes..
It actually wasn't too bad.
Things around the campground were quiet as usual, I stayed in the
air conditioning mostly, while Joe was off toiling at work.
After he got home , we had our usual chit-chat discussing our day.
Was good that Joe's day was pretty uneventful.
Sometimes they can be pretty wild, but those posts just aren't allowed.
:)
We decided to have dinner just a bit earlier than we often do.
So Joe went out to light the grill  about 5 p.m.
I put the pasta in the pasta bowl... little contraption that microwaves it.
By the way, I  simply love this little thing.  Perfect pasta every time.
Tonight it was Mac n Cheese.

Sky started getting dark as we lite the grill.  Just in time we decided.

I just love catching him unaware !
This is the 'braid' I do every morning before he leaves for work.
Was longer than this way back when.  He CUT it just before we met, rather than asking me
if it was a problem.
SILLY MAN

After dinner, sky so pretty, this shot out the window.

That's all folks, back tomorrow ...
Hope you all have a great evening, and safe travels if your on the move.

Typical Day?

It's Monday...will it be typical? Only time will tell.

So far, I woke @  6 a.m.
Yes, I braided Joe's hair for him, before work.
The commercial lyric... "MMMmmm goood to the Last Drop"
comes to memory, however; I would ad
.. Best Shared with someone you love!

Sent Joe out the door on his way to work,
all items:  Personal cell, work cell, company ID tag, keys, bottled water
ya know the drill....
We do try to not forget anything important.

He claims I make him go... but we both know the truth.
The truth IS NOT, that he LOVES it... but that for now it is
a
NECESSARY EVIL!

Yes, it is MONDAY...no storm last evening, Thank You LORD!
Even tho we did get the awning anchored, I feel so much better now.

Now, I feel as if I am typing  gibberish,
OK,  so what.. maybe I am.
You have the option to close out the window.
Please don't... Please hang in just a little longer.
I love visitors and page views.
  Don't we all?
Of course we do.  Besides, I view your pages.
Your beautiful photos, all your funny quips and such.
I'm not all that, but I am trying... (now I'm laughing at myself)
After a bit of very enjoyable 'blog browsing',,,
I also tend to endure a bit of
FB....eek , yes, guilty!
I enjoy playing some of the games from time to time.
Currently stuck on level 36-2 of Grumpy Goats.
But other more important things take precedence today.

Today I must do some laundry.... so saving for now and will continue to blog once chores are complete... you don't get to read til the day is over..
OVER I SAID

Wow, it is only 10:00 a.m. seems like my Monday is progressing fairly well.
Time for a walk around the campground.

Back... walk/exercise DONE!  Glad that is over before it
gets REALLY HOT!

Sitting here looking out the window as I update today's activity...
and
what do I see??

I Spy a local POLICE CAR cruising by.
(sorry didn't get pic of the police cruiser)
Certainly has my curiosity up, but no lights and sirens so I'll assume nothing serious going on.
...
Confirmed, just a 'patrol drive by'.. to make LE presence known.   I like that, gives one a feeling of security.
...
Next a nice looking 5ver is rolling in, Camp Host leading them to their site.
This is stuff for the 'newcomers to RV/Camping life'
NOT for YOU seasoned guys.

As you can see, I tend to rant on and on...
'cause I really don't have anything all that interesting to
BLOG
about ....

As the day progresses (2:45 p.m.) I now have dinner
going in the crock pot.  Yum, spaghetti tonight.
Best of all, Joe doesn't have to cook, since he isn't texting me, I know he is having a very busy day.  He will be so
tired when he gets home.
...
I was right , and he was thrilled that dinner was already done and waiting.

So too early to eat just yet, we have time to sit , chat and let him unwind from the day.
Actually, he got a short nap in before dinner.
It is SO HOT! The humidity is awful.

Dinner done, dishes cleaned up and now just to relax and have a good nite ..
Hope you all have the same.

Tomorrow is TUESDAY :)
I plan to be back!
Hope that you will come again.  Til then...

Marsha, OUT !

Great Day to Celebrate Dad's Birthday

However; it is in the high 90's with heat index around 102*...This morning was nice and I definitely enjoyed sleeping in just a bit longer than weekdays (6 a.m.)

Today being Sunday, and also with Wednesday being Dad's 85th birthday, many family  members gathered with him and Mom at Pier 41 ..which is their favorite local Seafood resturant.  I didn't get a head count but lets see...

Dad w/Mom reading his B'day greetings
Happy 85th Birthday DAD
Mom
Dad
Sis,Myra
Myra's son Jeffery and his wife Brittany
Sis, Gwen
Gwen's Daughter Amy and her hubby Aaron
Gwen's granddaughter (by another child) Norah
Sis, Beth
Two of Beth's girls... Maranda and Jamie L.
Brother, Sidney and  his lady friend Pam
Brother's sons.. Aaron and Logan
Aunt Mae (mom's sister)
Me and my hubby and my son, Shannon

Think that was the whole crew that made it today.
If I left someone out...hopefully they won't read this particular blog post , LOL.

Marsha , out....

P.S. On the way back to the Campground from the Resturant, we stoped in at local
Wal-Mart and picked up some tiedowns for the awning... about time wouldn't ya say :)

Rain and Wind

Whoa There!  We had a thunderstorm earlier, and wouldn't you know it... the awning is/was out.  Felt the RV rock a bit, I go.. WHAT was that.. and JN tells me he saw the awning rise UP up UP and then back down, it caused the RV to rock fairly good ... or bad maybe is better word... Well sorry it was absolutely pouring rain so we  opted to PRAY instead of go out in the thunder lightening and wind... Pray worked :)  yea!!
There was maybe another 15-20  minutes of rain, and it was all over, and awning + RV are both no worse for the wear.  Thank You Lord! Amen!

Now on a bloggin note:  WELCOME to the Quack Quack Good Luck Ducks, our newest followers..

For now I have to try and get some rest... tomorrow is family day + we are celebrating Dad's 85th Birthday @ Pier 41 (local seafood joint)... maybe I'll get a few decent pics.

Busy as a Bee? Prob not

This morning has been fairly busy as busy goes for me.   I try not to do too much in any one given day.   LOL

Up at 6 a.m.
Braided JN's hair for him.

Son came by and used printer for his produce shipment labels.

Then calls had to  be made...
necessary to schedule us both with Dr. appts.  just one of those little life necessities... assuming ya wanna keep on living this life.  And WE do, most definitely.
OK, done...two appointments , same Dr.  only 3 days apart, that is so great.  Only way could have been better, would be if we could have both been seen on the same day.  Some times ya jus' haf'ta take wha'ca can git.   The good news to this is that not long wait, we both will be seen within same week...7/31 and 8/3 .  This pleases me , a lot.

Lunch, yum.. was really good cause I forgot to do b'fast.

Now for the rest of the day, will spend a bit of time on FB most likely.  Could take a nap, not sure, have to wait and see if the mood strikes me.

Once JN gets in from work, we will prepare dinner...tonight the menu is his Garlic Pasta... note I said HIS :)  Means momma is OFF kitchen duty...at least til 'doing dishes time comes around'.  Which I really do not mind, I love doing dishes.  Neat thing about an RV is that when I am in the kitchen doing anything... JN is only a few steps away, definitely within ear shot, so no "Huh? what ya say ... wait I'll be right there"... LOL   I  used to hate that in a SB house.
Of course, I informed JN long ago about this, so he has refrained from calling me away from dishes etc., ... well unless he is just purposely messing with me. :)

After dinner plans currently, include grocery shopping for next five or six days of our meal plan.  Maybe I'll have a big side-by-side fridge in my next RV, would be nice.  Don't need much,  but the fridge only holds so much, so as you all know ... you really have to plan things out. This is turning out to be a GOOD thing, as we tend to  do a lot less impulse shopping and most everything purchased has a specific plan for it ... including time and method of use.

Will be back to the RV, so we can either catch something decent on the tube ... or so we can do some web browsing in preparation for our next move.

Later gaters
After while... well you know  .... byeeeee for now

I really can't get into blogging... but wanted my readers to know why..

my hometown of Lumberton, lost a wonderful Law Enforcement Officer, yesterday morning

Shot dead as he attempted to 'serve and protect'  even in his so called
OFF DUTY time.

http://robesonian.com/bookmark/19349648/article-Lumberton+officer+shot#comment_reply_19355115

The Final Inspection

The policeman stood and faced God,which must always come to pass.

He hoped his shoes were shining just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, policeman. How shall I deal with you?

Have you always turned the other cheek?

To my church have you been true?

The policeman squared his shoulders and said.

"No, I guess I ain't because those of us who carry a badge

can't always be a Saint."

I've had to work most Sundays

and at times my talk is rough,

and sometimes I've been violent,

because the streets are awfully tough.

But I never took a penny that wasn't mine to keep...

though I worked a lot of overtime when the bills got to steep.

And I never passed a cry for help

though at times I shook with fear,

and sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place among the people here.

They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.

If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand,

I never expected or had too much, but if you don't...I'll understand"

There was a silence all around the throne where the Saints had often trod.

As the policeman waited quietly for the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, policeman.

You've borne you burdens well.

Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets.

You've done your time in Hell"

Today, Friday 13th of July, 2012  Is it gonna be a lucky or unlucky day?  Time shall indeed tell the tale.  I took a couple pics of the grounds while out on my morning walk, hope they don't bore you.

View of a portion of the 'overniters' section here at SBRV Campground
Gets pretty full some weekends, We shall see what Fri. 13th brings as the sun begins to set ... and campers check in for the evening.

This is looking back toward the FULL-TIMER / Month to Month
 camping section.
Pretty full, you can't see beyond the first few.

Morning with a tilt?

Wednesday? Hump Day?  Mid-week... whatever ya call it, ours started with a lil tilt.  Actually it was not OURS, but that of a neighboring camper.

The gent, I noticed last evening... wow I said, what a neat outfit.  Not knowing at the time, cause he had already retired for the night before I noticed him.   I had been down for a nap  Well to quote Ellen  "annnnyway" there it was a really nice motorcycle...of the Gold Wing type, with a motorcycle pop-up en tow.  Already separated, set up and bedded down for the night.

Now for this morning, as I looked out the elderly gent was cleaning up his windshield, checking lights etc, preparing to re-connect bike and pop-up... as I watched HE LOST  IT  :(

Yep, the bike rolled to the left and over it went.  Now I'm sorry but there was nothing I could do... I have hard enough time twisting a bottle cap of the soda bottle.  So I commented to JN, and of course JN began getting dressed and preparing to assist 'if' he could.

About that time the gent knocked on our door, asking for assistance.  Assuring him we would be right out... just needed to put on a little more clothes, ya know.   It only took a couple more minutes.... but low and behold by the time we got out the door, another camper had already rendered assistance.

Fortunately he was unscathed, as was the bike.  Being from Florida and headed up to visit his daughter in Buffalo, NY.. we bid him farewell and best wishes for a safe and uneventful continuation of his trip.

Ahh, shoot!  I forgot to take my camera/phone....well best I suppose, I certainly would not have wanted to embarrass the gent any further.   Hope ya understand.

______________________________________________________________________

JN, off to work, I now am contemplating my morning walk..and guess what?  It is raining again...not hard, not stormy but enough to hinder my taking my morning walk.   So, for now suppose I'll enjoy a 3rd cup of coffee. Watch the news.. shame I didn't find "Cardboard GOLD"  as I watch the morning news telling a story about a family cleaning out the attic and finding $,$$$,$$$ worth of 100 yr old baseball cards.

Oh,Lord, waiting on my windfall ... LMBO

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The day progresses, laundry... dishes.... JN back home from work... and yep, you guessed it... RAINING again, the walk is foiled again.

Dinner is on JN... yummm yummm,  he did a meat loaf in the Nu Wave Oven, with some french fries (baked) on the side ... and I did sweet peas in the micro.. NO propane tonight  yeaaa...  So now comes the computer time , I on the laptop here, JN is on his tablet horsing around.

Forgoin' the tv tonight, get sorta tired of re-setting the dish over and over every time a good thunder clap sounds.

SLEEPY RAINY DAY

RAIN RAIN RAIN, Thank you Lord for sending us some RAIN!!!

It has been building for several  days now, and finally arrived.  Thank you, Lord.

Now, the farmer's fields can drink in your beautiful nectar.
The people can begin to cool down, if only for a few days.
The river will begin to fill its banks again.

Wow, am I getting poetic... LOL  prob not , that just isn't ME.

But suffice to say I am very thankful for the rain, even though there was a bit of scary thunder and lightening as well as WIND, last night.  All in all things are fine, the awning is still with us, and that is always a GOOD thing.

Last evening, of course was Monday.   On Monday's my son comes by to visit and use my printer.   He farms (the produce kind) and sells through a local farmer's market.  Which takes orders on a couple days a week and ships the product out to his 'ordering customers'.

I caught him playing with Ebony...

They are both difficult to catch in a photo, so I was somewhat proud of myself :)

Joe frequently gifts me with beautiful floral arrangements.
This is one rose I singled out to keep forever in my picture library.

Sure hope everyone had a wonderful and enjoyable FOURTH of JULY holiday.  Spent time with family and or friends.

As for me and Joe, we definitely enjoyed his 1 day off in mid-week.. beginning with sleeping in a little beyond 6 a.m.  :)  .

We really had not "planned" anything in particular.  So about mid-morning we began the "what ya wanna do dance"  and ended up taking a short ride out to where I lived back in 1998.

The spot  is waaaay back in the woods, down a gravel road...exactly ONE MILE down the gravel road.  It was a small lot with a really old (circa '70's) mobil home, on it.

The State of NC  wanted and got the property for inclusion into the Lumber River State Park.  I had not been there since I sold the property to the state, and wanted to see if the trailer/mobil home was still there.   Guess what it was gone... LOL   wellduhhhh what did I expect . it was a dump, a DUMP I tell you.

Next stop was to go to the actual entrance of

  Lumber River State Park

I   actually had enough charge on my phone to get a few pictures to show you just what a beautiful place this is.

There is lots to see and do in this park, however; camping is limited to one night and it is PRIMITIVE only. There are NO hookups.

Here are some of the pics I got , hope you enjoy... please be advised they were taken with my Straight Talk  phone...

For this shot  I nearly fell in.  Got down closer to the edge to shot a pic down-river.

Next, it was back to the RV, it was NAP TIME!!  LOL  OH, how I love my afternoon naps, but this one went on long... I was interrupted by Joe around 7:30 p.m.   My son, stopped by for a visit, and brought GIFTS... in the form of a nice fresh local grown (son truck farms veggies) WATERMELON!   His comment, "what is 4th of July without a watermelon?"  And, I must confess, I agree 100%.

We will cut it tonight after it has cooled a bit ... so much better cool.   I like mine with a dash of salt sprinkled on it.  Hey, don't knock it unless you try it first.

I know it was late, but after my son left, we grilled our steaks. umm yummy, good.  Know it was bad thing to do, but we decided to forgo the veggies, and opted to just have a slice of Italian bread and a baked potato with the steak.  It was so good.

And, that was our FOURTH of JULY.  Not all that exciting, but we enjoyed it, and that is what counts.

LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH.... till later.  Have a great day everyone.
